Sch. 80, Reducing TBE Nipple
A pipe nipple is nothing more or less than a small piece of Sch. 80 pipe. "TBE" is an acronym for Sch. 80 nipples that are "Threaded Both Ends". Since the threading on both ends is MIPT, TBE's are used to connect two fittings with female threading.
