DC Latching Solenoids
DC Latching Solenoids are perfect for low voltage irrigation systems and are capable of running on a battery based controller as well as ones with wired outlets. That being said, larger irrigation systems require more electrical power and can overheat the DC Latching solenoid.
***Different vendors have different solenoids for their valves. Make sure you have the right solenoid for your system.***
Hunter DC Latching:- Voltage Range: 6 - 9 VDC (volts of direct current)
- Coil resistance: 4.8 ohms

Rain Bird DC Latching:
- Fits Rain Bird DV, DVF, ASVF, PGA, PEB, PESB, GB, EFB-CP, BPE and BPES series valves
- The 9-Volt Potted Latching Solenoid connects the valve to the battery-operated controller
